Mission Statement 

To protect and serve children and families declared in need and to act in the best interest of vulnerable populations by creating a safe environment for families to receive services and information for long term well-being and sufficiency.  

 

Vision Statement

To provide holistic care and services to assist in the reduction of recidivism rates of abuse, neglect, and maltreatment cases on the Duck Valley Reservation and in the service area.

  • To report child abuse or neglect to the State of Idaho 24-hour Central Intake Unit call: 855-552-5437.
  • To report child abuse or neglect to the State of Nevada call: 833-803-1183.

 

The Shoshone-Paiute Tribal Social Services Department consists of:

  • Adult Protection
  • Indian Child Welfare
  • Foster Home Licensing
  • Family Preservation Services through in-home voluntary service plans.
